Same Day Crowns
A strong ceramic restoration. Designed, milled and fitted in a single visit.
What is a same day crown?
A crown is a custom-made cap that fits over your natural tooth to restore its strength, shape and function. It is used to protect cracked, worn or weakened teeth, to support a tooth after root canal treatment, or to improve the alignment and appearance of your smile.
With CEREC technology, the crown is designed and milled in-house on the same day. No temporary crown. No second appointment. No lab wait.
What sets our same day crowns apart?
Not all crowns are the same. The difference comes down to the technology used, the material of the restoration, and whether it is made on-site or sent to an external lab.
Our same day crowns use:
- The Primescan intraoral scanner — a precise digital scan that replaces traditional silicone impression putty entirely
- The CEREC milling unit, on-site — ceramic restorations designed and milled while you are here
- Full ceramic as the restoration material — biomimetic, meaning it compresses and expands like natural tooth structure, helping prevent cracking and supporting longevity
CEREC has a clinical history of nearly 30 years and is the latest version.
No impressions. No temporaries. One visit.
The traditional crown process requires two appointments, silicone impression putty, a temporary crown worn for two to three weeks, and a second injection. Our CEREC workflow eliminates all of that — no temporary crowns, no messy impressions, fewer injections and less drilling.
Digital measurements of the tooth and bite allow restorations to be designed in-house with a predictable, precise fit. Because the planning and milling happen in the same place, there is no gap between what is designed and what is delivered.

Is a same day crown right for you?
Same day crowns suit patients who need to strengthen a tooth weakened by decay or a large filling, protect a cracked or fractured tooth, improve the shape or alignment of a tooth, or strengthen a tooth following root canal treatment.
The best way to find out is a consultation. We will assess the tooth and present every option available to you — including whether a crown, inlay, or onlay is the right approach for your situation.
