Dental Implants
A permanent replacement for a missing tooth. Fixed in the jaw. Built to last a lifetime.
What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a titanium rod placed directly into the jawbone, acting as a replacement for the root of a missing tooth. Pure titanium allows new bone cells to grow around it — a process called osseointegration — which locks the implant firmly in place. A crown, bridge or denture is then attached on top to restore the visible tooth.
What can an implant replace?
Implants can be used to replace a single tooth, several teeth, or a full arch.
A single missing tooth is replaced with one implant and a crown fixed on top. Several missing teeth can be replaced with individual implants and crowns, or a bridge fitted across multiple implants. For patients who need a removable option, two to four implants can be used to firmly hold a denture in place — more stable than a conventional denture, but still removable at night. For full arch replacement, see our All-on-X page.

What to expect
A consultation is required first to assess whether you are a suitable candidate. This includes 3D CBCT x-rays and digital impressions of your teeth and gums. A full treatment plan is then prepared, detailing all appointments and costs upfront.
When it comes to placement, the implant site is numbed with a local anaesthetic — sedation is available for anxious patients. The procedure is fully digitally planned and minimally invasive. Most single implant placements take under five minutes and generally require no stitches. Discomfort is typically less than having a tooth extracted, and many patients return to work the same day. The implant is then left for three to six months to allow osseointegration to occur, after which the final crown, bridge or overdenture is fitted.
Treatment Investment
$5,500 per tooth
Is a dental implant right for you?
Implants suit patients who have lost a tooth or several teeth and want a fixed, permanent solution that looks and functions like a natural tooth. With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, implants can last a lifetime.
The best way to find out if you are a candidate is a consultation. We will assess your bone, take the necessary scans, and present every option available to you.
